Colburn was the Manager for Telephone Utilities of West Virginia and was sent to oversee the installation of the new dial equipment in the Marlinton Exchange. Mr. Cashwell was the office maintenance worker. William Hiter Cashwell of Marlinton was born September 1, 1888 and died this day fifty years ago on February 4, 1971. He is buried at Pleasant Green Cemetery in Seebert, W.Va. He was married to Rebecca Jane Church Cashwell and following her death he married Margaret Virginia Miller Cashwell.
