Louise Catherine Lockman, of Lima Estates, Pennsylvania, formerly of Norwood, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 10, 2014, following a brief illness, just two weeks before her 93rd birthday.
Born December 22, 1921, in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late John and Louise Libener.
Louise was a graduate of Hazleton High School and Philadelphia General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for many years as a pediatric nurse in the Crozer-Chester Pennsylvania Medical Center. During World War II she served as a nurse in the United States Navy Reserve.
She was a member of the Saint Gabriel’s Church of Norwood and was an active member of the Norwood Fourth of July Committee for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Felix C. Lockman; and a brother, John Libener, Jr.
She is survived by her sons, Felix “Jay” Lockman, and wife, Elizabeth, of Green Bank, Gary Lockman, and wife, Kathleen, of Springfield, Pennsylvania, Brian Lockman, and wife, Nancy, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and Curt Lockman, and wife, Elizabeth Josephine, of Telford, Pennsylvania; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was December 16 at Saint Gabriel’s Church in Norwood, Pennsylvania. Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery in Drums, Pennsylvania.
