When Marguerite Crews lived in Arbovale, she often said to her neighbor, Lisa Wayne, “Every day brings a surprise. Sometimes it’s big, sometimes it’s small, sometimes it’s good, and sometimes it’s bad.”
Lisa recently received two very nice surprises.
The first was when her three year old grandson, Bryce Taylor, delivered blueberry cupcakes to her and others on Buffalo Mountain Road. Bryce, with the help of his mother, Rachel, made the cupcakes.
“Bryce’s cupcakes were moist, delicious, and filled with love,” Cheryl Nelson said.
Lisa’s next surprise came May 9 when her doorbell rang, and she opened it to find Kaydence Waybright, Ethan Jones and McKenna Waybright on her porch. They were delivering a “Happy Mother’s Day Neighbor” card and a potted inpatien.
“This was totally unexpected, and I was so surprised I didn’t know what to say except what a nice surprise and thank you for your thoughtfulness,” Lisa said. “They said, ‘Have a Happy Mother’s Day’ and skipped off to Grandmother Carola Waybright’s car.”
The young people delivered 18 plants to various neighbors in the Arbovale area.
“This gave the kids something different to do, and they really enjoyed visiting their neighbors,” Carola said.
