The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a Wind Advisory in effect from 2 p.m. Sunday, November 17, to 6 a.m. Monday, November 18.
South or Southwest winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 50 mph, shifting west overnight.
Brief, stronger gusts could occur in fast moving showers or thunderstorms.
The strongest gusts are expected overnight tonight.
Impacts: Fallen tree branches could damage buildings or cause power interruptions. Property damage is also possible to roofs, awnings and carports.
Cross winds can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Construction sites are also vulnerable to damage.
