Karen Inez Horner, age 75, of Ronceverte, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea.
Born December 12, 1944, in Elkins, she was a daughter of the late Burl Harry and Elaine Walker Horner.
Karen was a Christian and worked in the restaurant industry prior to being disabled.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an uncle, Neil Horner; a brother, Danny Truesdale; and a grandson.
She is survived by her children, Robert Leroy Schaffer, of Joplin, Missouri, Rodney Alan Schaffer, of Elko New Market, Minnesota, Steven Loren Mercer, of Bedford, Virginia, Phyllis Ann Lemons, Eric Lee Mercer and Kathy Inez Farley, all of Ronceverte; twin-sister, Sharen Elaine Coulter, of Clintonville; brothers, Burl Steven Horner, of Golden, Colorado, Jim Huey, of Alaska, Bob Huey, of Oregon, and Jack Samuel Horner, of Green Bank; 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and aunts, Gertrude Taylor, of Green Bank, and Naomi McQueen, of Arbovale.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
