THERE WAS NO shortage of watermelons in the Brush Country and, perhaps, no one was more surprised than Clyde Camp- bell, left. He went away for a few days at the end of the growing season. When he returned, the vines had died back, revealing a boatload of melons. He took a few of them to Southern States last week to have them weighed. The heaviest came in at 57 pounds.
