Joan Regina Staud Smith, age 80, a resident of Elkins, departed this life Friday afternoon, September 12, 2014 at the Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Center at Elkins, WV surrounded by her family.
The family will receive friends Monday at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. On Tuesday, September 16, Mrs. Smith will be moved to the Saint Brendan Catholic Church where the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m.. The Very Rev. Donald X. Higgs VF will be the presider and interment will follow at the Saint Brendan Cemetery at Elkins.
