Grand Jury hands up nine indictments in August term

A Pocahontas County Grand Jury convened on August 27 and handed up nine indictments.
The following cases are set for arraignment September 3 before the Honorable Judge Robert E. Richardson:

David Wayne Cassell, 26, of Cass, Two Counts, Breaking and Entering, a felony; One Count, Simple Larceny, a misdemeanor; One Count, Destruction of Property, a misdemeanor.

Gavin M. Doss, 20, of Lewisburg, One Count, Fleeing from an Office in a Vehicle, a felony; Two Counts, Fleeing from an Officer on Foot, a misdemeanor.

Sarah Beth Parker, 33, of Hillsboro, One Count, Obstructing an Officer, a misdemeanor.

Phillip Ray Howell, Jr. 58, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, One Count, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Narcotic Substance, a felony; One Count, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule I Controlled Non-Narcotic Substance, a felony.

The following cases are set for arraignment September 19 before the Honorable Judge James J. Rowe:

Troy Williams, 33, of Hinton, One Count, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule I Controlled Non-Narcotic Substance, a felony; One Count, Possession with Intent to Deliver a S,chedule II Controlled Narcotic Substance, a felony; One Count, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule IV Non-Narcotic Substance, a felony.

Dustin Lloyd Viars, 33, of Charleston, Three Counts Wanton Endangerment Involving a Firearm, a felony.

Travis D. Brown, 31, of Arbovale, One Count, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Third Offense, a felony.

Jeremy Fitzgerald, 29, of Cass, One Count, Wanton Endangerment Involving a Firearm, a felony; One Court, Obstructing Firefighter or Emergency Equipment, a felony; One Count, Arson, Third Degree, a felony; One Count, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, a felony; One Count, Shooting within 500 feet of a Building, a misdemeanor.

Joshua Fitzgerald, 31, of Marlinton, One Count, Obstructing Firefighter or Emergency Equipment, a felony; One Count Arson, Third Degree, a felony; One Count, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, a felony.

An indictment is not proof of guilt. All persons are considered innocent until proven otherwise by a jury of their peers.
