Joining together for the good of the animals, students at Green Bank Elementary-Middle School collected items to donate to the Pocahontas County Animal Shelter.
AmeriCorps Kristen Shinaberry worked with the students.
Shinaberry and four students – Justin Jackson, Haley Bennett, Hallie Kane and Troy Lusk – brought a car load of donations to the shelter, last week.
“The whole school participated and we collected all kinds of treats, dog food, anything that can make the animals feel a little more at home,” Shinaberry said. “We have so much, I couldn’t fit it all in my car.”
The students presented the donations to Shelter Manager Robin Robertson.
