Connie Sue Walker, age 72, of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea.
Born April 2, 1946, in Beckley, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Virginia Mitchell Gilkerson.
Connie was of the Methodist faith. She was a nurse’s aide for Denmar Hospital and Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, Ann Harris, Luther Lee Gilkerson, Linda Skinner, Michael Gilkerson, Sherrell Spencer and Lana Gilkerson.

he is survived by her husband of 54 years, Norman A. Walker; two sons, Joe Walker, and wife, Tracey, and Howard Walker, and wife, Dreama, all of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Jesse Colton Walker, Dalton Lane Walker, Chelsea Mae Walker and Cade Nicholas Walker; and one sister, Joan Ellen Kountz of Beaver.
Funeral service was held September 10 at Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye with Mr. Jerry Marlin officiating. Burial was in Emmanuel Cemetery at Bruffey Creek.
