Raymond H. Wilfong, age 89, of Bartow, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018, at his home.
Born April 2, 1928, in Frank, he was a son of the late Clarence and Chloe Lantz Wilfong.
Raymond was a member of New Life in Christ Church. He was retired from Howe’s Leather Company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ortez; and two brothers, Norman Wilfong and Duane Wilfong.

e is survived by his wife of 71 years, Edna M. Wilfong; a daughter, Patsy Jean Tacy, of Covington, Virginia; three sons, Hunter R. Wilfong, of Bartow, Rick Wilfong, of Thomasville, North Carolina, and David Wilfong, of Lexington, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Corbet Wilfong, of Belington, and Warren Wilfong, of Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Per his wishes, the body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
