Dear Editor:
In 2005, my husband, Mike, and I bought a camp out on Back Mountain (now Edray) Road in the area locally known as Slippery Hill.
Due to various circumstances, its has been unoccupied for several years.
Mike passed away, and then my bridge was damaged by floods, so it has been a struggle for me to maintain the property.
I recently went out to check on it and discovered that the lock on my gate had been cut, and someone walked in and took the wheels right off of my camper.
This was not the first theft, but it was the most egregious.
I am saddened to know there are such cold-hearted, mean people in this area.
I love Pocahontas County, but it no longer feels so peaceful to me.
