Kevin Bennett, a member of the Brushy Flat Bushwackers 4-H Club, won Best of Show at the West Virginia State Fair for his handmade table. Greg Mosesso, of Marlinton, was cutting firewood and salvaged the wood that was used for the legs. Bennett retrieved the white oak slab for the top from an area in town where Asplundh was trimming and cutting trees. He brought the whole thing together in the Pocahontas County High School carpentry classroom, with the help of his teacher, Duane Gibson. Bennett is a 2017 graduate of PCHS. Photo courtesy of L.
