Dana “Brown” Cassell, age 79, of Cass, passed away peacefully Friday, April 14, 2017, at his home.
Born May 10, 1937, at Hosterman, he was a son of the late Joseph and Anna May Collins Cassell.
Brown retired from the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, where he was a chauffeur and photographer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Penny Miller, Virginia Cassell and Shirley Sheets; and brothers, Joseph Neal Cassell and John Cassell.
He is survived by his loving wife, Caroline Sue Tacy Cassell, whom he married July 1958 in Moorefield; daughters, Rejetta Lynn Wilfong, and husband, Gene, of Cass, and Michell May Baxter, and husband, Jeff, of Marlinton; a son, Kenneth Jeffrey Cassell, of Cass; sisters, Mary Perkins, of Buckhannon, and Shelby McLaughlin, of Dunmore; a brother, Chester Cassell, of Hendersonville, North Carolina; and grandchildren, Brandy Marie Cassell, Clay Alan Baxter and Brandon James Wilfong.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 22, 1 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale with Pastor David Rittenhouse officiating. Private interment will be in the Arbovale Cemetery.
