Katherine H. Puffenbarger Daugherty, of College Park, Maryland, passed to her heavenly home, Wednesday, April 5, 2017.
Born June 7, 1919, at Frank, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ratie Arbogast Puffenbarger.
Katherine retired in 1998 from the PG County Board of Education as a school bus aide.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Max Daugherty; two grandsons, Shawn Daugherty and Richard Elbon; a brother, Eugene “Amos” Puffenbarger; and sisters, Helen Hull and Elva “Bucky” Arbogast.
She is survived by her children, Maxine Elbon, Edward Daugherty, Jr., and wife, Debbie, William Daugherty, and wife, Marsha, and Keith Daugherty, and wife, Tammy; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a nephew, W. Jay Puffenbarger, and wife, Becky.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 23, 4 p.m. at Galesville United Methodist Church, 4825 Church Lane, Galesville, Maryland.
