Otis Edward Galford, age 96, of Marlinton, died Monday, January 30, 2017, at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital in Buckeye.
Born March 30, 1920, at Edray, he was a son of the late Charles and Bessie McNeil Galford.
Otis was a retired lumber grader. He was a World War II United States Army Veteran and a member of the VFW.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Dunbrack Galford; a son, Ronnie Galford; a sister, Edith McFadden; brothers, Harlan Galford, Merritt Galford, Collett Galford, Loris Galford, Roy Galford; and an infant brother.
He is survived by his daughters, Creola Linam, of Joplin, Missouri, Linda Sharp, and husband, Ray, Dreama Burns, and husband, Tom, all of Marlinton, Paula Sharp, and husband, Ralph, of Dunmore, and Saundra Mason, of Charlottesville, Virginia; a son, Charles McNellan, of Marlinton; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 4, 2 p.m. at VanReenen Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Felton officiating. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of service.
