Alfred Beckley McComb, proprietor of McComb’s Store in Huntersville, W.Va., pictured here at the age of 98. Born April 1, 1859, he was the son of James Price McComb and Eliza Ann Moore. He married Emma Alice McLaughlin, daughter of Hugh P. McGlaughlin and Alcinda Bird. Their children were Harry, Lollie (McCray), Jessie (Pierson), Mary Enid (Cochran), Phil, Connie (Holland), Donna (Burwell), Robert and Elizabeth (Faulknier). A. B. Preserving Pocahontas will join in on Huntersville Traditions Day October 1 with an exhibit on the grounds of the Huntersville Grade School.
