Phyllis J. Houchin, age 80, of Lititz, Pennsylvania, said her goodbye and started her journey on Heaven’s Highway Thursday, July 21, 2016.
Phyllis was a daughter of the late Herbert and Lucille Kennison Greathouse.
A devout Christian, she was God’s example to everyone while on her Highway to Heaven. She was a member of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed writing poetry, working crossword puzzles and watching NASCAR. She was a loyal Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray C. Houchin, in 2012.
Phyllis was a loving mother of two children, Curtis Houchin, and fiancée, Laurie Weit, of Manheim, Pennsylvania, and Sonya L. Brenner, of Lititz, Pennsylvania. They were the light of her life. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Eric and Shawn Houchin, Alex, and wife, Chelsea, Aaron, Amanda and Alyssa Brenner; and a great-grandson, Caleb Brenner. The memories of fun she had with her grandchildren and great-grandchild she took with her, locked in her heart.
Funeral service was July 25 at Spacht-Snyder Funeral Home in Lititz, Pennsylvania. Interment was in Memory Gardens in Ephrata, Pennsylvania.
