Lowell Tracy Lambert, age 75, of Arbovale, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family, following a two year battle with cancer.
Born July 10, 1940, at Thornwood, he was a son of the late Tracy and Sally Starks Lambert.
Lowell worked for 35 years as a millwright for Warner Swacey in Ohio, then moved to Maryland and worked for Martin Marietta and Bethlehem Steel where he later retired. He was a member of the Patapsco Masonic Lodge #183 A.M. & F.M. in Dundalk, Maryland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Lambert; and a sister, Bonnie Stull.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Christine Bradley Nottingham Lambert; a daughter, Laura Laverne Lambert, of Hendersonville, North Carolina; a step-daughter, Cheryl Ann Nottingham, of Harrisonburg, Virginia; two step-sons, Steven Allen Nottingham, of Riverton, and Charles Bradley “Chuck” Nottingham, of Dunmore; seven sisters, Susie Lambert, Marilyn “Nita” Lambert, Sally “Sissy” Lovelace, Barbara Ryder and Mildred Johnston, all of Bartow, Dorothy Warner, of Cherry Grove, and Thelma Smith, of Durbin; and a brother, Allen Lambert, of Frank.
Per his request, the body was cremated. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 25, 6 p.m. at the Thornwood Community Church with Rev. William Vandevender officiating.
