James Romie Martin, 42, of Hillsboro, appeared in court January 15 on a charge of forging, uttering or attempting to employ as true a forged writing to the prejudice of another. Bond was set at $5,000.
Stuart B. Tingler, 29, of Millboro, Virginia, appeared in court January 14 on charges of domestic battery or domestic assault, third offense and driving under the influence with an alcohol concentration in the blood less than .15. Bond was set at $500.
Eric Rivera Diaz, 28, of Marlinton, appeared in court January 11 on a charge of improper use of evidence of registration. Bond was set at $500.
Tina R. Rataiczk-Watson [sic], 39, of Cass, appeared in court January 12 on a charge of battery. Bond was set at $500.

James Michael Lester, 33, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty January 14 to a charge of petit larceny. He was sentenced to 30 days suspended jail, placed on six month unsupervised probation and assessed $265.25 in court costs and fines.
