Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, W.Va. was the successor of the Latin Grammar School and the Academy. The district high school was established by an order of the Board of Education of the Little Levels District in March, 1911. This splendid new building opened in September, 1912, ready for both grade and high school students. The first principal was Chafe Wilson. The last principal was Charles Moore. The school was closed in 1970 for county consolidation and the building was later torn down. (Ruth Taylor Collection, Courtesy of Ruth Taylor; ID: PHP000406)
