Gary Lee Doyle, 80, of Slaty Fork, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026, at WVU United Hospital in Clarksburg. Born June 3, 1946, in Marlinton, he was a son of the late Buford and Ruth Wilfong Doyle.
Gary was a member of the Mace Church, was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, and a member of the NDQSA. He was a truck driver for Ralph Burns for 40 plus years.
He was a devoted husband and father and loved his grandchildren. In his spare time, he loved hunting and fishing and spending time at his cabin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Ronald Doyle; and a grandson, William Waldron.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ellen Doyle; two sons, Jerry Almaroad, and wife, Linda, of Mingo, and Robert Doyle, and wife, Kathy, of Reedsville; grandchildren, Kristi Phelps, Anna Doyle, Audrey Doyle, Cooper Doyle, Clara Doyle and Sarah Marks; five great-grandchildren; sister, Cindy Taylor, of Dunmore; brother, Donnie Doyle, of Slaty Fork; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Mace Methodist Church with Pastor John Welch officiating. Burial was in Mingo Cemetery.
