According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals had activity in their cases:

In Magistrate Cynthia Broce-Kelley’s court:

Dakota W. Arbogast, 30, of Durbin, entered a guilty plea agreement July 8 on a charge of domestic assault. Arbogast was sentenced to six months suspended jail, placed on six months of unsupervised probation and assessed $181.48 in court costs and fines.

David Wayne Doyle, 53, of St. Mary’s, entered a guilty plea agreement July 27 to a charge of conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor against the state. Doyle was sentenced to 90 days jail and assessed $181.48 in court costs and fines.

Cole Alexander Edmond, 32, of Dailey, entered a guilty plea agreement July 27 to a charge of conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor against the state. Edmond was sentenced to 90 days jail and assessed $181.48 in court costs and fines.

Nathan D. Looney, 52, of Olathe, Kansas, pleaded no contest July 23 to a charge of improper use of evidence of registration. Looney was assessed $201.48 in court costs and fines.

Michael P. Mullins, 37, of Ghent, pleaded no contest July 20 to charges of driving while license suspended or revoked and leaving the scene of an accident, causing vehicle damage. Mullins was assessed $482.96 in court costs and fines.

Kristopher Nutter, 47, of Marlinton, pleaded no contest to charges of improper use of evidence of registration and failure to maintain motor vehicle insurance. Nutter was assessed $582.96 in court costs and fines.

Sean Grey Pennington, 32, of Marlinton, entered a guilty plea agreement July 27 to a charge of driving while suspended or revoked for DUI. Pennington was placed on six months home confinement and assessed $1,181.49 in court costs and fines.

Jerry Lee Simonin, 35, of Arbovale, pleaded guilty July 21 to a charge of resident fishing without license. Simonin was assessed $201.48 in court costs and fines.

Jan K. Skellion, 72, of Buckeye, pleaded no contest July 23 to a charge of passing in a no passing zone. Skellion was assessed $201.48 in court costs and fines. 

Brenya J. Beverly, 40, of Charleston, pleaded no contest July 13 to a charge of left of center in no passing zone. Beverly was assessed $206.01 in court costs and fines.

Dale A. Leeson, 61, of Daleville, Virginia, pleaded guilty July 8 to a charge of speeding. Leeson was assessed $206.01 in court costs and fines.

Mason William Moats, 21, of Aurora, pleaded guilty July 9 to a charge of seat belt violation. Moats was assessed $25.56 in court costs and fines.

Zander Allen Whitacre, 18, of Oakland, Maryland, pleaded guilty July 10 to a charge of underage consumption. Whitacre was assessed $236.68 in court costs and fines.

In Magistrate Jennifer Dunz’s court:

John A. Bennett, 19, of Union pleaded guilty July 17 to charges of speeding and operation without certificate of inspection or failure to produce certificate. Bennett was assessed $401.80 in court costs and fines.

George Mathew Harmon, 34, of Marlinton, entered a guilty plea agreement July 29 to a charge of person prohibited from possessing firearms – convicted of a crime punishable by more than one year. Harmon also pleaded no contest to a charge of possession of a controlled substance without valid prescription. Harmon was sentenced to 61 days jail and assessed $512.96 in court costs and fines.

Brayden T. Cole, 21, of Belington, pleaded guilty July 15 to charges of obstructing driver’s view and seat belt violation. Cole was assessed $221.35 in court costs and fines.

Andrew L. Posey, 24, of Anmoore, pleaded no contest July 6 to a charge of obstructing driver’s view. Posey was assessed $201.48 in court costs and fines.

William J. Pullen, 45, of Morgantown, Indiana, pleaded no contest July 14 to a charge of disorderly conduct. Pullen was assessed $195.78 in court costs and fines.
