According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals were either arrested or had activity in their cases.

Luca J. Byrd, 23, of Marlinton, appeared in court December 21 on charges of entry of building other than dwelling and grand larceny. Bond was set at $20,000.

Jacob L. Bennett, 27, of Marlinton, appeared in court December 28 on a charge of violation of a protective order. Bond was set at $5,000.

Kevin D. Hern, 56, of Cedarville, appeared in court December 21 on a charge of hunting behind closed gate. Bond was set at $500.

William White Williams, II, 68, of Mountain City, Tennessee, appeared in court December 16 on a charge of battery. Bond was set at $1,000. Williams appeared in court December 21 on a charge of violating a protective order, first offense. Bond was set at $2,000.

Antony Lee Williams, 38, of Marlinton, appeared in court December 27 on a charge of domestic battery or domestic assault, second offense. Bond was set at $3,000.

In Magistrate Carrie Wilfong’s court:

Larry Bennett, 55, of Buckeye, pleaded no contest December 28 to a charge of improper passing in a no passing zone. He was assessed $190.25 in court costs and fines.

Donald Lee Rider, Sr., 63, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty December 21 to charges of vehicles must stop at through highways and driving while license suspended/revoked. He was assessed $435.50 in court costs and fines.

Adam Wakefield Vasquez, 24, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty December 18 to a charge of possession of a controlled substance. He was assessed $165.25 in court costs and fines.
