Brenda Darlene Galford, age 57, of Kinsman, Ohio, and formerly of Buckeye, passed away Friday, November 20, 2015, at the home of her mother and step-father, Dorothy and John Lane, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, following a long illness.
Born September 13, 1958, at Marlinton, she was a daughter of Dorothy C. Lane, and the late Jimmie A. Galford.
Brenda graduated from Fairhaven School in 1980 where she was a member of the Fairhaven Bulldogs girls basketball and swim teams. She was also on the bowling team at Boyd’s Kinsman home. She was a member of the Pocahontas Center Auxiliary and Pocahontas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
In addition to her mother and step-father, she is survived by three sisters, Cathie Holbrook, of Dallas, Texas, Robina Galford, of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Rhonda Spach, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; a brother, Rockie Galford, of El Paso, Texas; and three half-brothers, Scotty, John and Jimmie.
Funeral service November 24, 11 a.m. at Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye with the Reverend Fred Goldizen officiating. Interment in Ruckman Cemetery near Mill Point.
