Mary F. McCarty, 80, of Marlinton, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.
Born August 19, 1945, in Marlinton, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Sharp and Icie Mae McLaughlin Sharp.
Mary was a homemaker, a CNA and had worked in a Rite-Aid warehouse. She attended Trinity Baptist Church in Buckeye.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Wayne McCarty, on October 29, 2001.
She is survived by sons, Ricky L. Bennett, of Buckeye, and Daniel Wayne Bennett, of Delray; sister, Goldie Castillo (Rudy), of Marlinton; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her companion, Pat Vandevander.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, September 24, at Kimble Funeral Home in Marlinton with Pastor John Paul Burk officiating.
Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Frost.
