
Jerry Hollandsworth, age 81, of Peterstown, passed away at his home after a battle with Alzheimer’s with his loved ones by his side.
Born January 5, 1944, in Hillsboro, he was a son of the late Denny and Anna Simmons Hollandsworth.
Jerry was a member of Cashmere Baptist Church. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and was stationed in Okinawa during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a man of many talents, but most importantly, he was honest and hardworking and had a quick wit that would have everyone laughing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jason Hollands-worth; sisters, Juanita Morris, Valerie Handy, Dorothy LaRue and Louise Oliver; and brothers, Ralph, Donald and Bobby Hollandsworth.
He is survived by his wife and constant companion of 57 years, Deborah Bostic Hollandsworth; brother, Daniel (Sue) Hollandsworth of Hillsboro; sisters-in-law, Lou Hollandsworth, of Trenton, South Carolina, and Kay Walkup, of Organ Cave; and several nieces and nephews, including Joel and Justin Hayes, who were always there when needed.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
