Dear Editor,
I write to thank Bob Must for his letter in the last Times (Feb 27, 2025) in which he stated that the government tax policies and treatment of ordinary workers are not right.
Since Reagan created the idea of trickle-down economic policy, in which the rich deserved more money because they would use their money to benefit the less well off, the gap in wealth between the rich and poor has increased and is getting wider (Pew Research).
And that Elon Musk and Donald Trump have their eyes on Social Security for balancing the budget or reducing the national debt, is also not right. Social Security is OUR money, taken from our EARNED income, and it is supposed to be given back to us when we retire. So, I would call it theft.
