A splendid photograph of the boardwalk on Ninth Street leading to the Pocahontas County Courthouse shortly after construction was completed in 1895. The Romanesque Revival style building is located on a full city block on the southern edge of Marlinton. This large courthouse square is slightly higher in elevation than the remainder of the downtown. Photo courtesy of Maxie Gum, ID PHP000770
