Winter Storm Watch in effect
The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a winter storm watch in effect from late Tuesday night through late Wednesday night for Pocahontas County.
The storm may produce freezing rain mixed with some sleet during the advisory period and snow during the watch period.
Ice accumulation of less than one-tenth inch late tonight through Tuesday morning.
Snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches is possible, as rain changes to snow late Tuesday night and continues through Wednesday night. Higher amounts are possible in elevations above 3,500 feet.
Winds will be out of the northwest at 10 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph.
Temperatures in the mid-to upper 20s, rising above freezing by midday.
