The Pocahontas County 4-H Shotgun team, represented by Dillon Shinaberry, T. D. Sparks and Clayton Shinaberry, traveled to Powder Ridge Shooting Clays in Caldwell August 13 to compete in what has become an annual Regional Shotgun Tournament.
Each team member shot through one round of trap, one round of skeet and one round of 5-stand sporting clays for a total of 75 possible targets. The team placed second in the tournament field, and Clayton Shinaberry received first place individual honors.
The team will travel to the state tournament at Fairmont Saturday, October 7.
