A wind chill warning remains in effect from 5 p.m. this evening until 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Winds will be out of the West or Northwest with gusts of 20 to 30 mph and up to 40 mph on the higher ridges.

Winds will gradually decrease this afternoon.

Temperatures will be as low as 5 to 12 below zero tonight.

Wind chill readings as low as 28 below zero are expected late tonight into Tuesday morning.

Strong wind gusts could cause minor structural damage, power fluctuations or even outages.

Outdoor pets and livestock can be susceptible to these dangerous wind chills, as well. Ensure they have adequate shelter to get out of the wind. Bring pets inside, if at all possible.
