Lucille “Lucy” Simmons Moore, longtime resident of Glen Burnie, Maryland, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014, in Hospice Care at Brandermill Woods in Midlothian, Virginia.

Born March 23, 1926, at Bartow, she was a daughter of the late William and Nellie Simmons.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Thomas Mann Moore; and siblings, Jesse Simmons, Hunter Simmons, Richard Simmons, Paul Simmons, Forrest Simmons, Clarence Simmons, Moses Simmons and Marge Wheeler.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Rebecca Moore Hudson, and son-in-law, W. Thomas Hudson; beloved grandchildren, Virginia Moore Hudson, Charles Thomas Hudson, and wife, Kimberly Gary Hudson; and great-grandchildren, Peyton Grace Hudson and Charles Thomas Hudson, Jr.

Lucy will be laid to rest with her husband in the family cemetery in Edray on Memorial Day.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Brandermill Woods and the Bon Secours Grace Hospice Team for their loving care.
