Green Bank Elementary-Middle School had a special visitor April 4 – a visitor with a silver tongue and a huge imagination. Enter Bil Lepp, five-time champion of the West Virginia State Liars Contest and a true American humorist.
Beginning his “lying” career when he was just 20 years old, Lepp has traveled around the country, sharing his stories and spreading laughter and joy.
“Most of my stories are completely made up,” Lepp said. “But there are some truths in them. I love coming to Pocahontas County, and I absolutely love what I do.
“I get to travel all over, and it’s nice to provide humor for everyone, as my material is suitable for all ages. All of my stories come from bad ideas that I have had over the years.”
Lepp participates in several contests and puts on close to 1,000 shows a year. His next appearance will be in Cookville, Tennessee. Lepp can be contacted by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit http://www.leppstorytelling.com for more info. B. Nottingham photo
